About the Opportunity

The Paul M. Angell Family Foundation seeks a Program Officer to play a key role in evaluating funding requests in its Social Impact grantmaking portfolio.

The goal of the Foundation’s grantmaking in Social Impact is to promote equitable, safe, and thriving communities, particularly for ALAANA (African, Latino/a, Asian, Arab and Native American) people living in underinvested communities. The Foundation’s grantmaking in Social Impact learns from and supports thoughtful and strategic changemakers, within the priority areas of Education, Economic Empowerment, and Justice. As the Foundation prepares for significant growth in its grantmaking, Social Impact will assess its current priorities and will explore opportunities for impact.

Reporting to the Director of Social Impact, the Program Officer will be an engaged member of a team of three Social Impact program staff. In addition, they will interact with and support the work of the Board of Directors and collaborate with other staff members within and across departments.

This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid position based in Chicago, IL.
